The other day, a coworker, a Cincinnati Bengals fan, and I were poking fun at each other and our respective franchises.
The back and forth hit multiple topics, but one struck me as a very interesting “what if” in St. Louis Rams history. In 2004, the Rams drafted Oregon State running back Steven Jackson with their first round selection, having traded up two spots with the Bengals, who subsequently chose Michigan running back Chris Perry. The NFL was much more kind to the former, despite being a member of one of the worst teams in not only Rams history, but NFL history.
