Nothing against occasionally capable veteran Derek Anderson, but there can’t be many Carolina Panthers fans -- or fantasy owners, for that matter -- excited about the possibility of seeing him at quarterback for Sunday’s NFC South matchup with the New Orleans Saints, or beyond. The defending NFC champs are a lowly 1-4 and while there’s plenty of blame to go around, much of it directed toward the surprisingly underwhelming defense, it’s not like Cam Newton -- currently still under concussion protocol -- has resurrected his MVP season yet. Well, he still has time and this is a big game for him.
