CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Are the Carolina Panthers overusing running back Jonathan Stewart?
Stewart has five straight games with 20 or more carries. That’s a lot for a back who hasn’t had more than three consecutive games of 20-plus carries since he arrived in the NFL in 2008 and is averaging 12.2 carries a game for his career.
The Panthers are resting Stewart more during the week so he can handle the game-day load. Asked how he feels with all the extra carries, Stewart simply said, "I feel fine."
This brings me to my Saturday mailbag question:
@DNewtonespn Any chance we get to see more of rookie RB Cameron Artis-Payne?
