Two Additional Panthers Have Offseason Surgery

The Carolina Panthers offseason was heading in a positive direction prior to news of the franchise quarterback undergoing surgery for a torn rotator cuff. According to reports, Cam Newton suffered the injury during a Week 14 home game against the former San Diego, now Los Angeles Chargers.

Despite the injury, Newton continued in that game and as the starter for the remainder of a disappointing season. Rest was the first course of recovery for Newton but he wasn’t allowed to have any until after the season and with no significant improvement is now scheduled for surgery on March 30.
