Just as the Carolina Panthers get a left guard back from an injury, another one is headed to injured reserve.
Amini Silatolu will undergo season-ending surgery after tearing the ACL in his left knee during the second half of the Panthers’ 44-16 win against Washington on Sunday.
Silatolu, the team’s second-round pick in 2012, started the past three games in place of Andrew Norwell, who pulled his hamstring early in the Nov. 2 win against Indianapolis. Silatolu, who is in the final year of his rookie deal, said after Sunday’s game he didn’t think the injury was serious.
