SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- A few final thoughts from Carolina Panthers outside linebacker Thomas Davis as the Wofford College portion of training camp ended on Tuesday:
Wager extended: Davis was fired up when quarterback Cam Newton said his goal was to get through camp without being intercepted by Davis or middle linebacker Luke Kuechly. The NFL MVP made it out of camp without getting picked by Davis, but Kuechly had one on Sunday.
Davis let Newton know it, shouting "we got him! we got him!" as he followed Kuechly to the end zone.
But as far as Davis is concerned, camp doesn't end and neither does the wager just because the team is headed back to Charlotte, where it will resume practice on Thursday.
