Thomas Davis was on his way to a dominate, historical performance against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. At about the halfway mark of the second quarter, Daniel Fells, the Arizona Cardinals’ tight end, inexplicably leaped across the first down line into the waiting arms of Thomas Davis and Luke Kuechly.
That was Davis’ sixth tackle of the night. Unfortunately, it was his last. As Fells jumped at Davis, he caught Thomas Davis’ arm just the right way (or wrong way) and broke it.
Davis immediately started making his way towards the sideline before taking a knee at the hash marks.
