With the 163rd pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Panthers selected tight end Mitchell Evans out of Notre Dame.
The Panthers once again stood pat with their day 3 pick after a wild trading flurry in day 2. They eventually nabbed Mitchell Evans with their second pick in the 5th round. Evans joins a tight end room in Carolina headed by Tommy Tremble and 2024 4th round pick Ja’Tavion Sanders.
Evans figures into Carolina’s offense as a contested catch type tight end who can block well off the ball. Currently, Carolina does need that after Ian Thomas left in free agency.
