The new era of the Carolina Panthers is underway as several organized team activities have been held with most players on the roster reporting to Charlotte for their first real exposure to new head coach Dave Canales. Notable among those who have not attended is placekicker Eddy Piñeiro, whose entering his third season with the Panthers and final year on his current contract.
While there have not been any confirmed reports as to why Piñeiro is absent, there’s been speculation that the kicker, who has done a bit of bouncing around the league, likely wants more financial security than his current one year deal yields.
