CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera has no doubt running back Jonathan Stewart will play in Sunday’s NFC title game against Arizona.
Defensive end Jared Allen is his biggest concern.
Both players were limited in practice on Thursday, Stewart with an ankle injury and Allen with a fractured foot. Stewart being limited is not unusual for this late in the season.
Allen will be re-evaluated on Friday. Rivera said the league’s active sack leader (136) will be doubtful if there is soreness in the foot and questionable if there is not.
Rivera said Kony Ealy will start and Ryan Delaire will be active if Allen can’t play.
