The Panthers went 5-11 in Matt Rhule’s first season as head coach. Winning five games with several close, competitive losses was probably the perfect amount of victories for this young, rebuilding squad. There were enough positives to give us hope for a bright future, but there were also enough losses that Carolina secured the No. 8 pick in this year’s draft. After every game I write a “Plays to Love, Plays to Hate” recap (archive here) highlighting the key plays that swung momentum leading to the Panthers wins and losses.
As we look back on the 2020 season, let’s take a moment to celebrate the memorable moments that brought us some excitement, joy, and jump-off-the-couch cheering.
