When the Carolina Panthers released let wide receiver and kick returner Ted Ginn Jr. leave in free agency a couple years ago I remember thinking: they’re going to miss that guy. Every time I saw Ginn playing for the Panthers in 2013 he seemed to be making plays in key moments.
That year Carolina got 1,467 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns from Ginn. The Arizona Cardinals were impressed enough to offer him a three-year, $9.75 million deal when the season was over.
Ginn accepted, but things didn’t go well. He finished the year with just 190 receiving yards and only one touchdown on a punt return.
