Originally a seventh round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles back in the 2010 NFL Draft, it’s been a long road for Coleman to get where he is today.
In his first season with Andy Reid’s Eagles he played in 15 games but saw only limited snaps. He finished the year with 36 combined tackles, one interception and two passes defended. The next year he got on the map by tallying four interceptions and 78 combined tackles. He looked like a rising star at the strong safety position. What happened?
Kurt Coleman hit a roadblock called Chip Kelly, who promptly sent him back to the bench in 2013.
