CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera wasn’t able to gather Tuesday night in Chicago with his Bears teammates that ran roughshod over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XX thirty years ago.
Rivera is preparing the Panthers to face the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7.
But Rivera did call in to let the 41 coaches and players that gathered at the Chicago Hilton know he missed them.
“That was cool,’’ said former Bears middle linebacker Mike Singletary, who attended the reunion. “He just talked about how much he wished he could be here, how he was thinking about us and loved us.
