The Carolina Panthers have waived second-year cornerback Zack Sanchez, according to a league source.
Sanchez tallied 11 tackles, two passes defended and one interception in four preseason games with the Panthers.
The former Oklahoma Sooner went down with an apparent leg injury in the fourth quarter of the team’s 17-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday night.
Carolina selected Sanchez with the 141st overall pick in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Sanchez tallied nine tackles in his rookie campaign with the Panthers.
