Something needed to change with the Panthers offense, but firing Joe Brady might not have been it

The Carolina Panthers offense has been a disaster since halftime of the Cowboys game in Week 4. From Week 5 onwards, the Panthers have scored 12 touchdowns and turned the ball over 16 times. They haven’t topped 188 yards passing since that Week 4 loss to the Cowboys, and their overall offensive DVOA has tumbled all the way to 30th in the league.

With everything falling apart, the Panthers decided to take a wrecking ball to the rubble and fired offensive coordinator Joe Brady. It’s an alarming fall from grace after the 32-year-old was the subject of head coaching rumors just last offseason.
