The Carolina Panthers recently re-signed kicker Graham Gano to one of the league’s most lucrative contracts for a kicker. Throughout his career, the nine year pro has proven to have an extremely powerful, albeit only sporadically accurate kicking leg. The up and down nature of his field goal kicking ability has often been somewhat overlooked due to his strong leg being an asset on kickoffs.
Since the NFL moved the touchback spot up to the 25 yard line on kickoffs before the 2016 season, the Panthers have the highest touchback rate in the league.
