Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have signed unrestricted free agent safety Mike Adams to a two-year deal, the team announced Friday afternoon.
Adams, 35, joins the Panthers after spending three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. He was named to the Pro Bowl in his first two seasons in Indianapolis.
The 13-year veteran safety was signed by San Francisco as an undrafted rookie free agent 2012, where he spent three seasons.
Adams has also made stops in Cleveland (2007-2011) and Denver (2012-2013) before signing with Indianapolis.
The University of Delaware alumnus has totaled 737 tackle, 74 passes defended, 25 interceptions, 14 fumble recoveries, 11 forced fumbles and six sacks 190 career games.
