CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolina Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson isn’t ready to shut down for the season because of a hamstring injury that on Monday night at Washington could force him to miss a second straight start.
He’s also not ready to search for another team to play for next season.
If coach Ron Rivera has his way, Carolina’ second all-time sack leader (67.6) won’t have to.
“He has played very well and it has been exciting to watch him,’’ Rivers said on Friday. “He has probably been our most consistent guy [up front], and it’s about that steady, consistent play.
