Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers will host former New York Giants offensive tackle Will Beatty for a workout in Charlotte on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said Monday that backup right tackle Daryl Williams – Carolina's fourth-round selection in 2015 – has not pushed starting tackle Mike Remmers enough during training camp.
Beatty, 31, was selected out of UConn by the Giants with the 60th overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2006 NFL Draft, and was member of New York’s 2011 team that won Super Bowl XLVI.
Carolina general manager Dave Gettleman was on the Giants’ front office staff when the team drafted Beatty in 2009.
