Recap: Panthers 18, Steelers 6

CHARLOTTE – After a 15-minute delay due to severe weather, the Panthers closed out the preseason with an 18-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Bank of America Stadium.

Kicker Graham Gano was responsible for all of Carolina’s scoring.

Field goals became the theme of the first half for the Panthers, as they would have to settle for four in the first half hour. Even more frustrating, Carolina moved the ball well to get within scoring range, but could not break through to find the end zone.

The Steelers sacked quarterback Joe Webb twice on third down to force Carolina’s first two field goals.
