Putting pressure on Russell Wilson will be key for Panthers

SAN JOSE, Calif -- Sunday night’s prime time game between the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field looked like an NFC playoff preview before the season.

Now it’s simply a playoff warmup for the Seahawks.

The Panthers appear headed for a losing record for the second time the season after losing the Super Bowl.

The 2004 team opened 1-7 before finishing with a 7-9 record the year after losing to New England by a field goal in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

This year’s team that lost to Denver in Super Bowl 50 is 4-7 heading into Sunday’s game.
