The Carolina Panthers have delayed Tuesday’s practice until 3:15 PM. Similarly to Saturday’s canceled practice, the team gave no immediate explanation for the change.
Reports ultimately surfaced on Saturday to explain that practice was canceled so that the players could have a meeting about how to confront the social justice issues that are coming to the forefront of the public conversation in our country. In an interview yesterday, safety Tre Boston said that the players had “100%” support from Matt Rhule and Marty Hurney in canceling practice and beginning that conversation within the team.
