CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Who would win a race between Carolina Panthers outside linebacker Thomas Davis and American Pharoah?
That came up jokingly Thursday as Davis talked about joining the Triple Crown winner among the 12 finalists for the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year Award.
So who better to chime in than Carolina's resident horse expert, cornerback Josh Norman? You may have seen him riding his imaginary horse "Delta" after celebrating a couple of interceptions returned for touchdowns.
"I'll give Thomas about half of the track, and then I'll let Pharoah go and we'll see who makes it there first," said Norman, who grew up with about 20 horses.
