After catching five balls for 57 yards in the first half, Panthers rookie wide receiver D.J. Moore got the third quarter off to a good start by ripping off an 82-yard catch. Moore took what looked to be about a 15 yard gain and turned it into a 82-yarder after breaking the initial tackle.
The only disappointment was he didn’t score. I can forgive him for that. I’ll take the great hands and ability to break tackles over top end sprinter speed any day. He’s still plenty fast anyway.
On the season Moore now has 487 yards receiving on the season, a 50% increase in one game.
