Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel has been notably absent from practice for the last few days, and today we found out the reason why—he had a small procedure done to fix an irregular heartbeat, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Earlier today Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer reported that Samuel is dealing with a ‘medical issue’ and that Panthers head coach Ron Rivera wasn’t sure of the details surrounding Samuel’s condition.
