To say that Ricky Proehl had a tough first two seasons as the wide receivers coach of the Carolina Panthers would be a bit of an understatement. Not only did his group of receivers in 2014 feature absolutely zero players who had ever caught a pass from Cam Newton, but the group was led by a rookie in Kelvin Benjamin and two veterans in Jason Avant and Jerricho Cotchery.
What a difference a year makes.
Now, as Proehl heads into 2015, he's more than a bit excited about the options at the position, according to David Newton of ESPN.
