Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Panthers brought in free agent TEs Gavin Escobar, Jace Amaro and Kellen Davis for workouts on Tuesday.
This comes after the team placed TE Greg Olsen on injured reserve with a foot fracture. Ed Dickson is expected to take over as the Panthers’ starting tight end for the time being.
Escobar, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $4.21 million rookie contract with the Cowboys and was testing the open market for the first time in his career when he signed a one-year.
