The Carolina Panthers signed offensive lineman Brain Folkerts and waived offensive tackle Tyrus Thompson, the team announced Saturday afternoon.
Folkerts is no stranger to the Panthers organization. He appeared in 26 games with Carolina from 2013 to 2014.
The former undrafted rookie free agent played two games for the Rams in 2015 but did not play in the league last season.
Thompson spent the last five games of last season on the Panthers’ practice squad. The Oklahoma alumnus was drafted with the No. 185 overall selection in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.
