When the Panthers claimed kicker/punter Kaare Vedvick off waivers from the Bills earlier this week, the team would have to make a corresponding move. Since Vedvick had to pass his COVID-19 test before officially joining the team, the Panthers were able to put that decision off for a few days. Now that Vedvick is official, the team has announced that running back Jordan Scarlett is the unfortunate soul that the specialist is replacing.
Scarlett was entering his sophomore season after a nondescript rookie campaign. While he did play in nine games last season, he was mostly relegated to special teams.
