Luke Kuechly took a mean hit in the first half of the Thursday night game against the Eagles. Initially it looked to be nothing more than a shoulder injury with Kuechly pointing to the shoulder he has had trouble with in the past on the sidelines.
He was spotted running to the locker room just before half time. When he failed to return for the second half, reports were that he was being evaluated for what would be his third concussion. The hit from the Eagles’ offensive lineman did not appear to make contact with the helmet area, so hopes are high that the Panthers most important defensive player will make a return to the field sooner than later.
