Well... that was surprising.
The Panthers started the game strong on defense, giving up zero yards and sacking Philip Rivers for a three and out. The offense took the ball on a short field and kicked a field goal. The defense held up once again with a sack fumble on Rivers on the following drive, but were forced to punt. The Chargers once again struggled to do anything, netting negative 6 yards and punting. This time, the offense responded with the short field as Jonathan Stewart took in Carolina’s first TD. On the following drive, the Chargers appeared to get something started, but Daryl Worleye quickly silenced that with his first career interception.
