Panthers Training Camp Battles: Left Guard Edition

Andrew Norwell, an outstanding undrafted free agent that the Panthers picked up in 2014, left in free agency for the big bucks.

As a result, the Carolina Panthers have a serious hole in their offensive line. There are several candidates that will be competing for the starting role.

  1. Greg Van Roten: An extremely versatile lineman that has filled in for several injuries along the line. He has had experience playing in Green Bay, overseas in Europe, and now in Carolina. A hulk of a man at 6′ 3″ and 305 lbs, Van Roten possesses the size necessary to play at left guard.
