Panthers trade for Seahawks WR Kevin Norwood

CHARLOTTE – The Panthers acquired second-year wide receiver Kevin Norwood in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. Carolina is sending an undisclosed 2017 draft pick to Seattle in the deal.

The Seahawks drafted Norwood in the second round in 2014, and the 6-2, 200-pound wideout played in nine games with two starts, recording nine receptions for 102 yards. He has recorded two catches for 18 yards through three preseason games.

"Kevin gives us another player to compete at the wide receiver position," general manager Dave Gettleman said. "He has the size you look for along with toughness and smarts.
