The Carolina Panthers announced on their website today that the team has decided to retain the rights on free agent Bryan Cox Jr. locking him in for at least the next season. Carolina has now signed all four of its exclusive rights free agents, previously signing fellow defensive end Efe Obada, safety Damian Parms and running back Elijah Hood. A player with less than two seasons of NFL experience whose contracts have expired are considered an exclusive rights free agent (ERFA).
Cox and Obada are the two players with the most playing experience out of the group of four, and both have pretty good chances to make the roster this season the way things are shaping up right now.
