Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have signed two-time Pro Bowl safety Michael Griffin and defensive tackle Kyle Love to one-year deals, according to a team press release.
A league source confirmed the Love signing to WRAL Sports Fan Tuesday afternoon.
Carolina waived safety Marcus Ball and placed defensive end Ryan Delaire on injured reserve to make room for Griffin and Love on the team’s 53-man roster.
Griffin, selected with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, was named to the Pro Bowl in 2008 and 2010.
The former Texas Longhorn spent nine seasons with the Titans before signing a one-year, $2.
