Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have signed offensive guard Amini Silatolu to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday morning.
Silatolu – drafted No. 40 overall in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft – reunites with Carolina after spending four seasons with the team.
The 6 foot 2, 320-pound lineman started in 28 of 34 games with the Panthers, including 15 starts as a rookie. Silatolu started in only 13 games following his rookie campaign after battling multiple injuries.
Silatolu missed 12 games in 2013 with a torn left ACL and the final six contests in 2015 after tearing the ACL in his right knee.
