CHARLOTTE – Mike Adams, a Pro Bowl safety two of the past three seasons, has signed a two-year contract with the Panthers through the 2018 season.
Adams, undrafted out of the University of Delaware in 2004, has amassed 737 tackles and 25 interceptions with four different teams. He was an unrestricted free agent after spending the past three seasons with the Colts, playing in the Pro Bowl following the 2014 and 2015 season as an injury replacement after picking off five passes each year.
In Carolina, Adams could be paired with Kurt Coleman, who has the most interceptions in the NFC over the past two seasons with 11.
