Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers on Monday announced the team has agreed to a three-year deal with tight end Eric Wallace.
Wallace, a former college basketball and Australian rules football player, hasn’t played American football since the age of 14, according to the team’s official website.
Wallace's deal is worth the standard contract for an undrafted rookie.
To make room for Wallace on the 90-man roster, Carolina released wide receiver Kobi Hamilton.
Wallace, listed a 6 feet 6 inches and 260 pounds, signed with Carolina hours after working out for members of the Panthers coaching staff on Monday.
