The Panthers added even more competition to their tight end room by signing Eric Wallace on Monday. The deal is a standard, three year rookie contract. To make room on the 90-man roster the team has also waived wide receiver, Cobi Hamilton.
Wallace is a former Australian Rules football player who played for the AFL’s North Melbourne Kangaroos. The 6-foot-6, 260-pound athlete is originally from North Carolina and played college basketball at Ohio State, DePaul and Seattle University before playing football in Australia the last three years. He hasn’t played American football since high school.
