CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have signed defensive end Wes Horton to a one-year contract.
Horton played in eight games with two starts last season, recording eight tackles, one sack and six quarterback pressures. He served a four-game suspension during Weeks 12-15 for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances.
In 2014, Horton played in all 16 games with 15 starts. A reliable run defender, Horton has posted six career sacks in his three seasons.
