Panthers selection of Curtis Samuel in doubt

The Carolina Panthers entered the draft with a plan to improve their offense. After selecting running back Christian McCaffrey, the Panthers selected Ohio State wide receiver Curtis Samuel in the second round.

At No. 40 overall, Samuel was selected precisely where he was projected as a round two prospect. Samuel has the ability to contribute both in the slot or out of the backfield, similar to McCaffrey and for those reasons his selection has been deemed questionable.

Lance Zierlein, of NFL.com recently reviewed the NFC South division and after naming McCaffrey the best pick, gave Samuel his vote for most questionable.
