The Carolina Panthers have selected Kentucky linebacker Trevin Wallace with the 72nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Panthers get themselves a good blitzer from the traditional linebacker position who tackles well, can play some man coverage against tight ends, and has some decent athletic traits for a linebacker. He’s an aggressive linebacker who attacks the blocks and has some lateral and closing speed that could give him a chance to get some work on defense, though I think his value will come as a rotational player with plenty of special teams value as a rookie in 2025.
