Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn has been named the NFL’s Rookie of the Month for October after four impressive games where he led all rookies in tackles (30) and was second in passes defensed (4). Chinn leads all rookies in total tackles (56) and is tied for 13th overall in the league entering Week 8 of the season.
Chinn becomes the fourth Panthers rookie to win Rookie of the Month honors, following Brian Burns, Luke Kuechly and Julius Peppers. (That’s pretty good company to be in if you ask me.
