Panthers roster moves: Chris Manhertz placed on injured reserve, Blaine Clausell added to active roster

According to a report by Pro Football Talk’s Charean Williams, the Panthers have placed tight end Chris Manhertz on injured reserve and replaced him on the roster with offensive tackle Blaine Clausell.

Manhertz was active in all 16 games for the Panthers this year, but he wasn’t very productive - he finished the year with two receptions for 17 yards. He suffered an ankle sprain in the Panthers’ season finale loss to the Falcons and wouldn’t have been able to play against the Saints this weekend anyway, so the Panthers decided to make a move to add some offensive line depth to the 53-man roster.
