With injuries piling up in the secondary, the Panthers have added some veteran depth with the signing of S Stevie Brown to a one-year contract.
The Panthers are hurting in the secondary with the only non-injured safeties being Kurt Coleman, Tre Boston and Colin Jones, a situation that forced LB Brian Blechen to play safety in the Panthers’ preseason game against the Patriots last week. With Dean Marlowe still on the shelf with a hamstring injury and both Marcus Ball and Travell Dixon recently being cleared for practice, the Panthers felt a move to shore up the depth was necessary.
