CHARLOTTE – On Wednesday, the Panthers received their NFC Championship rings and officially closed the book on a historic 2015 season.
The rings were handed out during a team meeting led by head coach Ron Rivera, who spoke about what was accomplished and looked ahead to what will be required to win the ultimate prize.
"This ring is about recognizing the accomplishments from last year," Rivera said. "This team won 17 games, 14 consecutive, went undefeated at home, took home a third consecutive NFC South title and won an NFC Championship, but we didn't close the deal.
