2024 is almost over, both in the sense that today is New Year’s Eve and in the sense that Sunday is the last game of the regular season for the Carolina Panthers. Given the state of their current roster, that end can’t come soon enough.
The Panthers are limping to the finish line with six of their original projected starters on injured reserve, another 11 who made the injury report last week, and many more who had stints on IR along the way. That is brutal for a team with little depth to speak of. There are starters for this team, particularly on defense, who would struggle to crack the two-deep on more robust rosters around the league.
