Carolina Panthers express their appreciation, admiration, and respect following the passing of ‘The Greatest of All Time’.
Muhammad Ali who declared himself, ‘The Greatest’ following his first heavyweight championship win over Sonny Liston in 1964, lost his final fight over the weekend.
Following that victory, Ali would go on to become boxing’s only three-time lineal world heavyweight champion; winning the title again in 1974 and 1978. Living as a political, social, and religious activist throughout the turbulent 60’s and 70’s, Ali was a polarizing figure who brought his stance on issues and beliefs to the forefront of the sports industry – something that continued even after his boxing career.
