Panthers reach deal with Austin Corbett ahead of free agency

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers on Saturday agreed to a one-year deal with Austin Corbett, keeping their starting center out of the free agent market when the new league year begins next week.

The move allows Carolina to maintain continuity on an offensive line that allowed quarterback Bryce Young to be sacked only 29 times in 2024 after he was sacked 62 times as a rookie in 2023.

The agreement with Corbett came a day after Carolina tendered restricted free agent center Cade Mays for the 2025 season.
